ABS sensor

The ABS sensor bolt snapped when I was trying to remove it. Does anyone know the specs for that bolt. I need to replace it.

Re: ABS sensor

Unless someone knows the exact bolt size and thread, the easiest way to find out is either having or removing a similar bolt that fits the bolt hole or remove another abs sensor bolt (preferably not seized in place) to have for matching a replacement. Whenever removing nuts or bolts, if you can anticipate corrosion, sometimes seen as rust or severe corrosion), spray penetrating fluid to allow it to soak in and loosen seized fasteners. Sometimes heat or some hammer blows can help break corroded rust and bolts creating the mechanical equivalent of loctite.

Re: ABS sensor

If the bolt Head is 10mm, it's probably M6X1.

If bolt Head is 13mm, its likely M8X1.25.

Those most common of small fastenings....

When install new fastener, use some grease or rtv.

Re: ABS sensor

95% sure it's M6x1. Buy stainless steel hex flange bolts so it doesn't happen again.
