Tow dolly for a 93 vs 2000 SL2

I am planning to tow my 93 SL2 home behind a moving truck. Penske says the 93 front is too low to make it onto the dolly. 2000 SL2 shows as OK. I think it'll just rub when I load it up and back it down, which it does when I put it on ramps anyway. The rental guy said that people have had front bumpers torn off when backing it back down - a general story of course, not Saturn specific. Any one have experience or would make a guess based on the look of a 2000 vs a 93 front end. The 93's definitely lower/longer, but I doubt it's going to matter thagt much?..
Thanks...

Did it with a 99 SL2 with most of the lower bumper junk still intact.

Whacked something the first time, but I was driving up too fast, and the front springs compressed from the inertia.

Pumped up the tires, took it real slow, and all was well. I say go for it, things are nice and rubbery under there. You can always bring some six inch wide by 12-18 inch long by 3/4 in thick plywood to soften the ramp angle.

Thanks. Do you think a 93 and a 99 aren't that different? Maybe you're right about buying some wood for ramps.

Based on my oil changing drive on ramp experiences across all three body generations I figure you should be good.

Most of my cars are missing at least some of the plastic air dam stuff though. But the lower bumper cover is the likely rub point.

I've used a tow dolly with a 1991 SL2, 1992 SL2, 1993 SL2 (three of them), 1993 SW2, 1994 SL2 (two of them), 1995 SL2, 1994 SC2 and 2000 SC2.

The majority of those were lowered with H&R or Sprint Extreme springs. Never had an issue.

Thanks. Will be giving her a try tomorrow and will post back how I did.

I guess it depends on the tow dolly. I wrecked the lower bumper cover on my 95 SL2 trying to push it onto a tow dolly. Definitely check you clearances beforehand and use wood blocks as additional ramps if necessary.

Well, my luck changed and I got a 'free upgrade' to a trailer. So I can't provide another data point on the dolly....
