2003 saturn vue serpentine belt replacement
 

I got everything out of the way and took my old belt out but I am struggling with the new belt

I'm trying to move the tensioner as the picture but it's not enough

Belts can be a pain to install, I would try to slip it over the waterpump pulley last. Sometimes the belt will slip over a smooth pulley easier than the grooved pulleys.

I've removed and replaced my serp belt several times. I agree with 02 LW300, once you rotate the very strong belt tensioner far enough, slipping the belt over the smooth water pump pulley may be easier. This presumes the belt is on every grooved pulley, leaving the water pump pulley last.

And it does help to post the the Vue forum this is for L series Saturn.

Early Vues and L300's share the same 3.0L V6 engine. The timing belt and serpentine belt have the same physical configuration.
