Part of GM Spring Hill Property To Be Saved as Civil War Historic Site
Spring Hill played a brief but important role in the Nashville Campaign of 1864. One of the bloodiest slaughters of the war occurred just north of Spring Hill at the Battle of Franklin where the Confederate Army of the Tennessee was devastated by Federal forces. This land acquisition assures that some of the former GM/Saturn owned land will be preserved as a historic resource for future generations.
