Innova 3160e or Actron CP9690. The Innova is quite a bit more money, but is supposed to be fully compatible with more vehicles, though unlike the Actron it requires another purchase for the OBD-I cables.

Neither one has the capability to force a crankshaft position relearn, my '00 Silverado proved how handy that can be (paid $10 to a local shop for them to fix it with their Autel MaxiSYS MS906).

https://www.autoenginuity.com/ With the GM pack. Will do all the actuators etc. basically anything short of reprogramming or anything that requires a security token

Other choice is to buy the mongoose cable MDI and then download GMs Tech2Win software. You have to pay GM $50 each 3 days you use it but can do anything a dealer can do.

I bought my Actron off of Craigslist from some person 500 miles away at a big discount. Make sure you get one with graphics capabilities. It helps a lot with the graphics to see what is going on with coolant tmps progressing or O2 sensor switching.

There is a website which searches Craigslist offerings for the whole country. You will have to look for it because my link is saved at home on a different computer.
