Common problem noise in front end
 

The rattleing noise in the front end was caused by bad links, these links tie the Strut to the Sway bar, and have no provisions for grease, they went at 12,000 miles.... The mechanic said I should feel lucky some are going at as early as 6,000 miles. Sounds great, so I guess we can expect more to fail, since apparently there has been no changes made to them. Of course the dealer didn't stock the part, or at least enough of them. If you have a rattle in the front end the links should be the problem. Make sure the dealer has them in stock when you make the appointment, otherwise you will be going back. The service tech also told me that Saturn only allows them to stock certain parts and certain numbers. Just another problem wtih the Relay.:x
