S-Car clunk gremlin

Loud clunk when turning steering wheel only when sitting and rarely when doing slow parking lot maneuvers- not only can you feel it in the steering wheel but throughout the whole car incluiding in the seat and floorboards a very low clunk, recently replaced both front lower control arms for play in the ball joint was hoping would take care of noise but no luck, have checked i-shaft and all suspension components with a few of the other techs here and were all kind of stumped any help would be appreciated

I recently replaced the Control Arms/ball joints and now it clunks where the ball bolt goes through the control arm to the chassis. Jack the car up and hit the wheel. See if it reproduces any noises and then try and locate them.

I got my control arms/ball joints from Autozone. It's really annoying and only happens at slow speeds.

I like how the Cert Saturn Techs come here :) :)

The bolt that holds the control arm to the subframe; did you grease it before you installed it? This will cause the noise you descbribe.

However its odd doesnt happen all the time.

Strut mount perhaps??
