2001 Saturn Sl2 starting problems
So I drive a 2001 Saturn SL2, it has about 103,600 miles on it. About 3 weeks ago my car would not start. If I hit the gas a little when trying to start it. it would rev up and then just die again. We had it towed to a shop and the next day we get a call saying that i was starting up. But when it started up it didn't sound like it wanted to stay running. usually it idles high around 1000rpm when in park, but it started falling below that and it sounded weak. Now over the past few days that has stopped and it is running and starting up perfectly like it did before. Any ideas on what the problem might be?:xeye:

Use the Forum Jump below to find the How-to library about the coolant sensor. Replace it and the old thermostat with a new 195F one.
If using the original coolant sensor, the engine is starting rich or flooding. |
Re: 2001 Saturn Sl2 starting problems
My engine did flood about a month prior to all of this happening. Would that be something that would happen with a faulty coolant sensor?

In one word, yes.
