Avatars Made Easy
Some forum members have written to me asking how they can add a small photo under their username that displays whenever posting a message. The images are called avatars. Avatars must be less than 100x100 pixels and 10kB in size. Here is a brief tutorial how you can add an avatar to your profile.

Find a Saturn picture that you would like to use as an avatar.
Upload the photo to your personal SaturnFans photo gallery. The SaturnFans photo software will automatically resize your photo and create a thumbnail that can be used as an avatar. Based on the image you uploaded, the thumbnail should be a clear image (not jagged) and meet the avatar size limitations.
Go into your gallery and find the photo you just uploaded. Right-click on the thumbnail with your mouse and click 'Save Picture As...' (in Internet Explorer) or 'Save Image As...' (in Netscape). Make a note of where you save the photo on your PC's hard drive.
Click here to edit your profile and to change your message board avatar.
Browse to the location on your PC where you save the thumbnail in step 3.
Click the 'Submit Modifications' button. Your new avatar will be uploaded and added to your profile. Every message you have posted in the forums will now have this image underneath your username.
You're done!

If you have any trouble with this process, please feel free to email or PM me.

Good luck!
