100,000 miles Today Hooray!

My 2004 V-6 Vue hit 100,000 miles today! Never had a problem with her, reliable and fun to drive. I hope to see get another 100,000 miles of problem free driving. Saturn/GM/Honda rules...

:)

Awesome, man! Great to hear.

What kind of maintenance did you perform to keep it running so strong for so long?

Congrats VUE04! I'm hoping my '03 will be my first vehicle to hit 200k.
Are you gonna do the Timing Belt yourself?

That's crazy! What kind of issues did you have in that time?

Re: 100,000 miles Today Hooray!

Rotors 3 sets, tires 4 sets , fuel pump sending unit, struts, bearings, half shafts ( twice ea side) center bearing, (2) thermostats) , (2) timing belts, (2) saturn radios water pump (2) main drive belts, (2) headlights , thats about it.

not all at once though i have owned the car since oct of 2002:dizzy:

Re: 100,000 miles Today Hooray!

I did all the maintenance myself, nothing out of the ordinary. No wheel bearings or struts etc (knock on wood). Just brakes and filters. Using Walmart synthetic oil every 10K and Tranny Oil change every 20K with Honda Z-1 fluid. It might be that I live in Southern California, so the weather is generally mild.

I'm having the timing belt, water pump, etc. done by professional when she hits 105K. Good luck to all and see you at 200K!

I have an 04 VUE 3.5 V6 with 83,000 miles on it.

I am going to accumulate the crank pulley tool, and parts to do the Timing belt around 100K.

Has anyone ever heard of one failing before or around 100K?

Thanks in advance for your info,

Pete

On my 03 Vue V6, I just replaced my timing belt/waterpump/serpentine belt at 141K. I was surprised at the good condition of the belts. I wouldn't wait that long though. At lot depends on the type of driving. Mine has been pretty easy - a lot of highway miles plus I'm not real hard on cars. I'm still on the original back brakes!!

Thanks,
Gib
