2.4L Ecotec: Same camshaft position sensors?

Are both the intake and exhaust camshaft position sensors the same on a 2008 Vue 2.4L XE (gas)?

Rockauto only lists 1 part under camshaft position sensor.

it is not likely the sensors that are bad, but more likely the actuator control solenoids that bad. test for high resistance hot. check oil level. ACDELCO 12679100 and 12679099

Re: 2.4L Ecotec: Same camshaft position sensors?

The deal was that I bought a rebuilt head off eB**. A previous owner had drilled out an exhaust bolt and drilled into the oil channels. My existing head was leaking oil which was burning up and the smell of burning oil was getting into the cabin.

The rebuilt head from eB** had different cam shafts than the existing head. I only realized this after I reinstalled the head.

The car does not start now.

In my mad, frenetic, rushed internet searches I was going off wild rabbit chases into the different cam shaft configurations. That is where my question came from.

I believe the original head and all original equipment is good, including the actuator control solenoids. I do not believe that I need to change any of those pieces.

What I think I need to do is work with the seller and figure out how to get the proper cam shafts into the rebuilt head. In the worst case, I will use the old cam shafts.

Advice, comments, jokes, and teasing are appreciated.
