Convertible top care

This may be a crazy question. I just bought a 2008 Redline, this is my first convertible, and I am wondering if it will damage the top if I put it through a "no touch" car wash.
I know that the no touch system uses chemicals to clean the car, and I wasn't sure if this would damage the top. What is the best way to clean the top.

I dont see why it would. Unless the establishment uses some harsh chemicals, I would very highly doubt that it would negatively effect the top. It can take a decent beating. you just dont want to get too much soap into it. that stuff takes forever to rinse out if you do. Personal experience. lol.

I wouldn't ever do that again. Some of them have much higher water pressure than others. :(

If you haven't the time, desire, or ability to wash it yourself, spend another few dollars and take it to a professional hand wash.

Congrats on your new SKY RL! It's a GREAT car!

I strongly agree w. Reed. I wouldn't take my SKY through a car wash under any circumstance, for said reasons.

Machine wash any of my cars? No way in Houston, never. But then thats why my cars look new when they are 10 years old.

I also have 2008 redline and it is so small only takes :15 to hand wash. Besides by doing it yourself you can check on any loose things dents etc.
I love the RAGTOPP convertable top care kit for fabric tops does a great job.:)

I am glad I stumbled across this thread. I just bought my Redline and was about to go out to a car wash with the hand held wand, but it also has high pressure. So I guess that is out.
