Clicking from rear brakes after brake job
My rear brakes needed serviced so I replaced everything, shoes, drums, pistons, and all the springs/etc. Now there is a clicking sound that comes from the rear when I apply the brakes at low speeds. The frequency of the click follows vehicle speed, and isn't really noticeable until I am under 20-30 mph.

I have taken everything apart and inspected, but I can't figure it out. The only thing I can think of is that the holes for the wheel studs on the drum are too big and allow the drum to turn slightly causing the clicking. I do not have the original drums anymore to compare them to.

Can anyone comment on the hole size on the brake drums? Any other ideas on what could be causing the clicking?

Googling around I have a few things to check...

Possibly put springs in wrong somehow and they are rubbing.
New springs do not have enough tension.
Parking brake cable not routed correctly.

Re: Clicking from rear brakes after brake job
Perhaps you have mixed up the primary shoe with the secondary shoe? On some(most?) cars the brake shoes are NOT symmetrical; I don't know about the VUE. With a clicking noise, I'd also be looking at the self adjuster mechanism.
