im new to this page just trying to figure what's wrong with my wifes car. it messed up on us about a month ago. my mechanic said it was the CAT CONVERTER. well here in colorado we don't have emssions. but i had a buddy of mine with a code reader come by my house to double check and the code reader wouldn't work. so in order for me and my wife to get started on trying to figure out whats wrong with the car. we need to know or try to understand why the code reader wouldn't read? me and my wife are no mechanic so in all honestly im trying to find ways to help us. so please anyone help me out here?

Anything cat and other parts to help you build a beautiful auto. Can be purchased on eBay for way cheaper. You will need an ERG unit, mine was $32. Please do not use Meineke. They just put on new exhaust with glasspack, its bad. But the whole system fell off in the street, and after they put it back on, ERG code came on. Point is: get all parts together,then get it worked on. And the code reader will not run if:Hook it in slot before you crank and take it off after stop the engine. anything I may help you, let me know. Im retired and have all day to type. HAHA
