I was fortunate enough to see 2 2008 Vues on the truck going to dealers I suppose. Snapped 2 pics and couldn't get more since the freeway at bad at 5:30 pm. Not too impressed- looks smaller and wimper now IMHO.

But they are in Southern California now.

Hmmm.... I am surprised to hear that they are already coming to dealers. I guess it is possible.......

Lets see the pics!

Cool! Thanks for the pics!

I don't think those are going to dealers though. If they were, they wouldn't have Michigan plates. I am going to guess that these were likely the VUEs used for media drives. In fact, I wonder if that gold one isn't the one that was photographed in the edmunds article mentioned in another thread.

Wish they were almost to dealers :(

They are definitely downsized "small"...

I would have to see it in person to judge the size. In the pic it looks like something the size of a Matrix or Vibe, the specs say otherwise. I am not sure why they went with something that "looks" smaller, it will only make the Outlook look even bigger. Something Saturn probably wouldn't want seeing that many have commented the Outlook already too big.

They look great....compared to the previous Vue they appear more refined and upscale. These units have Michigan tags...they are GM vehicles most likely going to a GM press, dealer function.

If you look carefully, that darker colored one is MINE!!!! :p

I saw an out look on Monday @ the local Saturn Dealer, its not that big... Reminds me a little of a Ford explorer, at least SIZE wise.

Also you only have 1 picture posted.... Are there more?

Also its super easy to post pictures , use imageshack!

The back is just less squared off.

I posted the information below in the thread, 2008 VUE... I drove one today :) (http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93100)

Here is a link to Charlie's 2008 VUE Specifications November 29, 2006 (http://www.saturnfans.com/Cars/VUE/2008/2008vuespecs.shtml)

If these hold true...

The 19.5 gallon fuel tank for the FWDs is great!
Nice to see that they put the extra space to use.

I am a fan of the 6 speed on paper.
More gears. Yet weighs less that the 4T45-E 4spd auto.

They don't look half bad, i like the chrome roof rails, looks shiny. Still not my cup of tea though, but i can definitely see my parents shopping around for that kind of SUV. Definitely looks nothing like the typical GM SUV. I think it'll be a winner.

Yeah it looks really nice, wish they changed the handbrake to a normal looking one though.

I wonder why they went to the trouble. Only a VUE with a manual would use them often..

I wonder why they went to the trouble. Only a VUE with a manual would use them often..Global development. Vehicles outside the U.S. have a higher take-rate on manual transmissions. So, to keep down development costs, the funky e-brake stays.

My two cents...again...as far as styling base to base '08 wins. RL to RL '06-'07 wins.

I hate that it doesn't look american, alhtough it actually has american chops this time around...it just feels like they said to heck with the saturn loyalists we're going after the hyundai buyers...

I've seen that strategy fall on it's ass in business many times...but it might actually work given the overall rising strength in the Saturn brand...

Doesn't look American? Like what a Ford Escape or a Dodge Durango? Critics and consumers bash these two for being dull and uninspired, why would GM think of building something that is like everything else? I think GM is on the right path in looking to Europe (Opel) to fill the Saturn lineup. Saturn loyalists will appreciate a new level of refinement as they have already with the Aura. I don't think Saturn is looking to target specific buyers and abandon the Saturn faithful, they are trying to create brand loyalty and attract buyers who have overlooked Saturn in the past.

I like the way the 2.4L 2008 VUE drives better than the 07' model. Give it a chance. Try it (at least when its available to the public) and see if you like it (unless of course you hate the way it looks, then it doesn't matter.)
