We shall see after May 25th... :D I'll hold any future comments until I drive one.

A picture of my VUE RL smoking the 2008 VUE RL would be priceless... :)

I would be very surprised if Edmunds like the vehicle. Edmunds has been notorious for shunning Saturns.

Yeah. So I hear. However, if you read between the lines, I'd say 'Karl' liked Vuey...just the way he complimented the interior etc.....'monumental'.

He was itching to give his driving impression, and by the sounds of it, it will be good. He's happy the Opel came over....'about time.'

Just wish it was wrapped in polymer....Albeit, I am warming up to the new Vue...I am pissed I couldn't crawl through it at the Vancouver Auto Show.....

I can't wait to read a real review...

Sadly my dealer near my house said they won't get any in until July at the earliest.... :tear:

Say what you will, you have your opinion, I have mine.

What is the first order in business when selecting a car (first impression), it's the Exterior Styling. If the Exterior does not look good, then there is no sense looking any further. The "real" VUE"s exterior just knocked me out, first impression, had to have it. The Antara? BLEAH!

IMO, with the exception of the Outlook (and even that looks like it has a deviated septum), all of the new "Saturns" are ugly.

You'll notice the "real" VUE never broke 100k in yearly sales. Clearly, people thought the RAV-4 and CR-V were less ugly.

Looks promising....driving impressions and price will be the deciding factor for me. I hope they don't take away the Saturn loyalty bonus for the Vue like they did for the Outlook. Very stupid move on Saturn's part! Punishing loyalty, smart move GM!

Same here... I didn't really care for my 2007 Vue Test Drive, and I HATE the polymer and its gaps... :hothead:

I have owned 2 cars, and never had a dent or ding, I don't know how people park and what not, but if you are afraid of a dent or ding, park further away. :p

As I already stated, that is my opinion, I don't care what others think. That doesn't sway my decision.

My opinion is "Saturn" is making a big mistake.

It's all a moot point, i am about done with this site as well as "Saturn" and GM anyway (deleted posts, etc.). There is nothing left.

I guess we are not allowed to express our opinion anymore, and that is a sad testiment.

All things must come to an end. Saturn needed a change, and GM was gonna do it, even if it meant losing their oldschool customer base. But their making the change to appeal to the majority, to take away sales from boring/bland toyota especially.

I wouldn't bet on that until the 2008's numbers are published.

I don't think that's a fair statement, and I'm disappointed if that's really how you feel. I don't delete messages if folks post negative opinions, and I don't appreciate the insinuation that that type of activity goes on here. The only time posts are deleted is when they violate one of the rules of this forum. Being rude to other members because they happen to like the '08 model will not be tolerated. Nor will bashing Saturn by posting the same basic message over and over again. I think if anyone looks at the history of your posts, they'll know exactly how you feel about the evolution of Saturn (i.e. your "negative" posts haven't been deleted). Please don't make Saturn's changes a personal issue between you and other members here.

Thanks,
Charlie

I'm actually looking forward to test driving the 2008 VUE. Especially after driving the Torrent for 10 days this month. I was pleased with the Torrent's handling, but the ride was a little stiffer. The interior width gains from the new steel doors is welcome benefit.
