It would appear that stick shift will no longer be available in the VUE beginning in 2008...is this true? Am I reading this correctly?

I read that it would'nt be available at the begining of production but would come later on for the 4 cyl. engine only.

Nothing in the order guide yet, so must assume much later in the model year.

The "Sales Team Leader" here indicated that the manual transmission will not be around until mid 2008.

I read the comment that the 5 spd manual tranny would be available later in the first production year in the "World of wheels " magazine; a Canadian publication.

Not that I would buy ones of the odd looking '08s anyway, but if they were to not offer a manual, it would be just one more vehicle to add to my "do not purchase" list. :hmpf:

Whats an "American" doing in our "Canada Only" thread???

:canada:

Kidding, I have already had a few customers say they weren't happy -- including my wife.

:sneeze:Sorry, you know how we Americans are. :D (What's the deal with the quotes?)

Maybe all these complainers will make the car makers finally realize that some people actually buy a manual because they want it and not because it's cheaper.

They released the price lists today. No manual tranny option at all. I'd say IF it comes about, it'd be 2009.
