Maybe I keep missing it, but I never see a mention of a Moon Roof in any of the 2008 Vue data that has been posted. I know that can't be.

Anybody have any information on this?

Structural reinforcements for the body eliminated the sunroof. They claim the redesign in 2010 will fix it...

Until the 2008 VUE is out, I wouldn't hold any of this information 100%. This was comments from the Saturn engineers.

I was told in 1994 that the LLO 1.9L engine was going to increased to 2.2L by a Saturn engineer. This never happened. The ECOTEC appeared...

No sunroof is a MAJOR oversight in my mind. How do you have an all new from the ground up vehicle and not put a sunroof in it? If everyone else can do a sunroof without sacrificing structural integrity, why can't GM do it?

That is going to be a major bummer for the sig-other. She's gotta have a sunroof.....

I wouldn't exactly say all new from the ground up. It's mostly just rebadged with other minor changes. Their 100% European cars and are importing the Vue and Astra really fast, so i don't think they'll be addressing things like these anytime soon. I'm not even sure if the Astra is gonna get a sunroof option either. Who knows.

This still seems very odd to me. Moon Roofs have become such an expected and popular option. It's hard to think of more than a handful of cars where it is not available. The Mustang is the only other where the lack of an available Moon Roof surprises me.

Are Sun Roofs not a big option in Europe?

It's because the sun doesn't shine in Europe. Everytime I've been there it's been dark and/or rainy, but then again I was just passing through, on my way to a very, very sunny place with lot's of sand.

The Astra will have a sunroof as GM advertises it in one of their brochures. I think the real reason the VUE doesn't have a sunroof is because GM had to increase the structure for crashes by adding more support to the roof thus eliminating the sunroof because Euro standards are less.

That doesn't mean anything -- early pics of the Antara (2008 VUE) show a sunroof.

US has stricter crash standards. The Daewoo version has a sunroof also.

I view (VUE?) that as a lame excuse. This is an all new car, GM knows the crash standards it must meet and the crash standards it wants to meet before it even starts building prototypes. All kinds of other new vehicles meet top crash standards and have sunroofs. There is NO reason why the VUE can't/shouldn't.

The 2008 price sheet my dealer showed me had a power sun roof as an $800 option. There was also the note that it was not available at the start of production.
