View Full Version : Vue 2006 Won't Start - In Shop - Want to Guess?

Just had my 2006 AWD auto 6 cyl towed into Saturn service today. Had the Vue for about 5 months and has 11,000 miles. No problems until this morning. Went to start it and it ran for 4 seconds or so and stopped cold.... same thing over and over like some kind of electrical shutoff. "No" security light comes on. Called service and they had me try locking/unlocking with key, trying remote, shut the door, nothing helps. Tried two sets of keys. Also, the locks won't work with remote either now. Overhead light now stays on. It is now in service department. Any guesses as to what the outcome will be? There will be no prizes... Sorry!

Just bad karma. *giggle*

hmmm, I bet it has something to do with the security features...shutting off fuel..thinks car is being stolen....:D

Might be to my advantage if someone did steal it.... Probably had over 40 cars in my life and never had goofy electrical problems like what I have or have read on this forum from other owners.... Bring back the old days... :~)

So it looks like the opinions are running BCM. Hope you guys are right.... should be a simple fix then.... hope! Will let you all know.

Seems like you guys know what you are talking about. Now I suppose I should be carrying.... anti-freeze..... spare tire....... jack...... spare BCM

Educate me please. What is BCM? I'm guessing the "C" & "M" are Control Module but I'm at a loss for the "B".

It's the body control module. It's what interfaces all the GM stuff with the Honda engine and drive train.

It sounds like you might have bought my '06 Vue. Mine loved to stall like that every 3 weeks especially on the highway. They ended up putting two BCM's, an ABS computer and rewiring my firewall to try to correct mine. They never did fix it....

Good luck chasing the electrical gremlins in your Vue, too. I hope they put you in a nice rental.....
