I was opposed, but it is growing on me. Nice color. Looks sharp.

I test drove the 07 Outlook very nice but a bit large for me. We have a four month old 2007 VUE, the sales person is offering to trade even for an 08 on same equipped VUE.
We will loose five-six months of car payments in the trade.
Our son is a Saturn tech and we get the employee discounts plus know the owner very well.
If the quality of the Outlook is carried over to the 08 VUE I see a 08 XR VUE coming.
Will see what works out.
The 07 is a very good car especially with the 3.5L Honda Engine, we shall see the outcome. New units are expected in March at the dealership.

Definitely more of a euro look as compared to the boxy functionality of the current model. I'm guessing it will have improved handling dynamics also. The interior is upgraded, but that's not much of an issue with me.

OTOH if I develop expertise in rebuilding Honda 5 speed automatics, I'm guessing my 2004 can stay on the road for a very long time without a lot of bucks to do it.
Will be interesting to see/drive the 08 when they roll out.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly...it looks so much better than that puke blue it had on at the 'LA'? auto show....still, it looks a lot like the Hyundai Tuscon...like all the auto makers are converging to one super model of the cute-ute...LOL
Look forward to crawling inside one and checking it out....

I was really considering looking at the 08 thanks for the shots of the VUE.
To each his own but the new ride looks like a small crossover not the mass of the 07 VUE.
The softtouch material in the Aura is most likely on the VUE as the Outlook I looked at last weekend.
I had hoped the car would retain at least the shape of the current VUE's. My salessperson offered us a near even trade for our 4 month old 2007 VUE 3.5L which is full loaded including leather and DVD system when they arrive in the dealership ( The 07 is nearly paid for).
The front of the car has plastic as the older VUE's had that really takes away from the car.
The interior while possibly an upgrade in materials looks bland compared to the 07 cockpit.
Guess I may consider the 07 Outlook if I want to trade up, the VUE is too small and Hyundai looking.
My opinion only everyone has one.

I concur. What's with the gills? Seems like they should have just put chrome flames coming off the wheel wells. yeesh.

I don't think the new Vue is Hyundai looking at all... Its more Kia/CR-V looking... Imitation is flattering!

I just noticed something. How come they didn't get the chrome tail light bezels of the SKY and Outlook? I like that, I thought it was going to be a Saturn band styling feature.

I've gotta say that I'm not a big fan of the new 08 vue. It looks increasingly more like a minivan and less like an SUV. I was hoping that all the plastic on the front of the view would be gone for good after 05', but it looks like to old plastic style has come back. I don't like it, just looks cheap. No offense to anyone who is planning on buying a one, just my opinion.

I think that black molding on the 08 vue is on the XE only.... :xeye:
