It looks like a bloated Chevy Aveo. Maybe it looks better in person, but still no chance that I'd buy it. Even if it does come with a stick, still not enough to overcome the completely visually unappealing design. I can't imagine the redesign being a big seller, but then again, other manufacturers sell stuff that looks just as stupid.
The side mirrors scream "oh crap, we forgot the mirrors, let's just stick them on the door, nobody will notice we forgot them" They look like a complete afterthought, they definitely don't flow with the rest of the vehicle.
I stand by my comment from last year, they have gone from good to bad to worse.

car styling is like rating women
everybody has his opinion
basically it's got that Euro look like the new CRV
certainly some functionality is lost when the boxy body is made curvaceous.
OTOH I'm guessing the chassis is much improved

It really looks more narrow than the current VUE, the sloping roof sure destroys some of the utility. When I drove the Magnum the roof slopes down so bad I had a hard time looking out the rear view mirror.

"She" needs new shoes (rims and tires) and a new skirt (side moldings)
Even then, she'll be a 6 dressed up as a 9. Rock on Trooper!!!!
To the ladies, my apologies if this post is considered offensive. :blockhead

I thought it was a 'three dressed up as a nine"? Man, it is totally un-pc, but it is, after all, the lyrics of a song...Geesh, the double standard... in this world...I'll never figure that one out.....LOL
Back on topic...I agree 'he' needs new shoes, and a skirt...funny how they were just testing out the front-end...there must be more to the RL than that?

You're right, the RL bodywork doesn't look complete. Look at the way the front fender is white all around, and meets the black trim at the front wheel wells. The black continues around to the back. I'd hope that the RL would have more flared wheel arches, side skirts, and a better rear bumper. The front bumper/grille reminds me a lot of the mouth on the Sky (by design, I'm sure), but it looks rather ... overinflated I guess. It's still a mule, so hopefully they can straighten out a few bits before it's released, but overall, I'm not terribly excited about the new Vue, especially the placement of the windows. They do look like they were just tacked on the doors as an afterthought.
