Doesn't look nearly as aggressive as the current VUE RL. Hopefully they'll sharpen up the front lines a little more before production.

Personally, I like the past VUE RLs much more. Maybe it's just me, but the new one reminds me slightly of a minivan with a body kit.

Badass looking little SUV. Hopefully the Aura Red Line is as aggressive.

Hopefully there is an Aura Red Line.

Needs a little more aggressive rims and rubber to help out the looks. Wheels usually make the vehicle look better!!!

Did I see 5 speed manual available later in the model year!!!!!

I think it looks pretty good, but I think it would better in something other in white..and the grill looks dangerously close to a Chevy IMO..and it needs a lip spoiler

Yuck (but then I don't like the current VUE RL anyway, I find it totally useless)

In the pictures, looks too much like a SX4 or similar little hatch. I'm sure it'll look better in person  (or at least it better if they want to sell any)

I'm just not feeling it. I realize, being a current gen RL owner, that my view is biased, but I WAY prefer the current RL styling. The '08 looks too rounded, tall, and narrow in stance. Not very sporting looking at all. The only panel that really seems any more "aggressive" is the bumper, which possibly is due to this only being a test car, seems to hang down much lower than the rest of the car. The overal look reminds me of the Mazda 5/MPV sport models.

What happened to the GME F40 6-spd that was in the G6 GTP and the 9-3:?: Oh, that's right, it can only handle 245lb-ft. How about an F50, GM Europe?

That would definitely help change my opinion!

That's the main reason I wouldn't really like a current VUE. You can't have the V6 or AWD with a 5-speed. If there was a 4 or 6 cyl. 5-speed AWD model available, I'd have much more respect for the VUE.

I like the idea of having sport version of the VUE, but only if it is a 'real' sport version....not just some lowered body cladding beast that underperforms the standard model like we have currently. The photos give it a nice front-end, but the rest looks stock...hopefully, they will give RL owners some reason salivate.....:)

I wouldn't say the current RL underperforms, it's a significant handling and appearance upgrade..just because it's a little slower 0-60..doesn't make it inferior

I don't think you'd be able to get a real 'sport' out of such a vehicle, but a little style and improved handling is always a good thing!

Now all they need to do is to keep it simple and the price reasonable. I would hate it if they made you pay for items such as leather, nav, or even HIDs

Agree that wheels/suspension does enhance handling. However, it would be nice if the engine performance was upgraded along with the appearance. Like the SKY for example. It would give some "additional" cred to RL badge.

There's no offical documentation that says RL's are slower...

None that I can find either. I've "drag-raced" my friend in his FWD V6 non RL Vue on a deserted road a few times, and we were pretty much identical in the acceleration department. My RL, however, handles markedly more sporty, and at least IMO, looks more attractive. The biggest difference/plus for me is the additional bolstering in the seats of my ebony package versus his standard leather seats. Equal straight line performance + more sporty handling + a fully painted exterior + more highly bolstered leather/super suede seats made the increased price tag well worth it to me.

I can't say that I am a fan of the redesign. It is not an appealing looking design as far as I am concerned. And I hate the fact that manufacturers keep doing the altezza type tailight design which is hideous. It makes me think of Pep Boys auto accessories.

Amen to that! I came to the Saturn/Redline world from the Subaru WRX world where the same thing was happening. With each redesign of the Impreza/WRX the light became more and more altezzaesque. I can't stand the look. I will say that for some reason, the TYC tails on the view look okay in black, but other than that, I'm just not a fan.

Yuck, that sucks...Just like the rest of the 08+ Saturn lineup. It looks like a toyota yaris on the front. Way too wimpy looking.

How about the 275HP engine from the outlook?

That's pretty much what it is. Same engine with a different output from the looks of it.

Looks better than I thought it would. Anyone know the mpg of the 6 speed auto FWD?

That's pretty much what it is. Same engine with a different output from the looks of it.The engine in the OUTLOOK has reshaped intake ports and lengthened intake runners to improve overall airflow. The exhaust cams are also reprofiled. If you look at the engines themselves, you can see some of the intake changes. Methinks they had more room to work under the hood of the OUTLOOK and took advantage of it.

Actually the Vue RL comes with, I believe the 263 HP engine, same as the announced Pontiac Torrent GXP.
If they were able to utilize the 275 HP unit from the outlook, and really differentiate it from the standard model, that would be a "Redline"!

Think Acura TL & TL Type S - same model, two very different cars.
