I have a 2006 3.5L AWD with 11K on it. I notice that when I am coasting at really low speeds (ie 5-10 mph) and then press on the gas there is a slight split-second hesitation, almost like the engine stalls, and then it accelerates. Haven't noticed this at any higher speeds. Kind of annoying for a new car. Could this have to do with the electronic accelerator configuration?? Also, sometimes on the highway it feels like I am attached to a rubber band...slight surging and relaxing....Nothing serious but can feel it. Weird! Any ideas appreciated.
-Thanks

I have a similar thing going on with my 2003, 2.2L 5spd.

I can't cruize below 5mph smoothly, a lot of "surging". (ie: when I'm in a big parking lot look around for a spot, or on the Highway when it comes up to a stop-and-go traffic jam spot)

I posted it a while back.

Perhaps it's a different problem than what you are experiencing, but thought it was worth mentioning.

I doubt that has anything to do with this problem. Have you had any other manual cars? I've had over a dozen, and each one had some of this "bucking" to varying degrees. It's normal, you just need to have better gear selection and clutch modulation.

Fattabot,

The only experience I have prior to the VUE was 3 years with a '96 SL1, 5spd manual. And it had no problems travelling slowly in both 1st and 2nd gears.
