Getting at the shocks

I just recieved my new rear shocks in the mail today and was wanting to install them. Im having a problem locating the upper bolt assembly and was wondering how to get at them. I just want to have an idea prior to me tearing apart the interior. Thanks

Take out the plastic wheelwell I believe. The bolts are definitely not in the interior.

so do i need a special tool to unscrew the plastic bolts holding the wheel well together?
