I just had the misfortune of having someone back into my 2005 Vue which crumpled the corner of my bumper on the driver's side. I want to replace the bumper and am wondering if this is something that one can do at home. Does anyone know if it is a dificult task, and does anyone know if there is a guide or instruction manual to help guide me in this procedure?

This is DEFINITELY a DIY job :)

The only tool you need is a flathead screwdriver. Just pry out all the little plastic pushclips on the top and in the wheelwells. On the sides of the bumper cover, there are tabs that push into your rear quarter panels. Those might take a little persuasion to get out, but if the bumper is ruined anyway it wont matter if you break them.

so Burnout, replacing a stock non red line bumper with red line bumper should be just as simple right?

Instead of a RL bumper maybe try a 06 model bumper. They are just about the same but look nicer because of the painted section and provision for chrome plate.
