I have an '06 4 cyl Vue and have been hearing a clicking sound near the glove box. It almost sounds like a relay switch and happens when going over samll bumps etc on the highway. I pulled the glove box door open and the noise seems louder; almost like something behind it is making the noise. I have about 16,000 miles now but have heard the noise intermittently since about 1000 miles.
The problem occurrs a few times a week and once it starts clicking, it usually continues for up to twenty minutes and then disappears. At first, it wasn't so bad but it is beginning to drive me crazy! I would normally just turn the radio up but...:dizzy:
I posted in another thread but didn't get a response. I am also afraid to take the car to the shop because it does not occur all the time.
Any thoughts on how to narrow the problem would be great.

Note the conditions under which the noise will begin. See if you are able to make the noise happen when you want to. If you can do this then go to Saturn and test drive with someone to show them how to make the noise.
From there they get to play with it and find out what it is.
failing that if you are near the Saturn store when it is doing the nosie stop by and show it to them.
If nothing else go in and get a work order done up on it so that the concern is known about by them. Even if they can't get the noise they have something to refer to if you go in when the noise is happening.

I had something similar on the drivers side. Noticed it mostly at lower speeds. Turned out to be a couple of bushings and a blown strut. Check your strut tower to see if there's oil on it, or a puddle next to the tire where you usually park your car.

I haven't noticed any puddles but will check today after work if there is any oil on the strut tower. Wouldn't that side of the car "bounce" a little longer than the other side if the fluid form the strut had leaked out?
Thanks for the tip and I will definitely look into the possibility.

One would think, but it was never noticeable when mine started. Maybe if I had let it go a while....

I've got a clikcing sound from the passenger side on my '06 Vue RL as well.
I notice more when I accelerate and slowdown, like in traffic or just trying to pass someone.
I also seem to notice it more when I'm alone in the car. I don't notice it when my wife rides in the passenger seat. I wonder if it's the passenger airbag sensor checking for weight in the seat and hte relay possibly behind the golvebox?
Oh, and by the way... My Redline was bought NEW, with only 20 miles on it, so if the struts are shot Saturn put them on the that way.
