So I'm about to do my first repair on my VUE. No complaints, except the water pump waits until just 2k miles after my warranty expired to go...figures.
FYI, I have 62k on the vehicle, original brakes still, that how good she's been :)
After reading on this forum I found that since the water pump is leaking I best do the timing belt. Actually I was not too worried about driving with the water pump leaking a little for a few weeks until researching the forums, and realized I was at risk for valve crunching fun, so thanks!!
Anyway....the books are on the way (saturn-publications.com) so I haven't had a chance to look through them yet (I'm out of the country so not driving while they're on the way), but was wondering if anyone had advise on what to watch out for etc., those little not mentioned in the books but would have been good to know type items.
I'm planning on replacing the water pump, timing belt, serpentine belt and thermostat since I have to disassemble the entire passenger side of the engine to do the water pump.
