I'm wondering if any Saturn Techs have tried to install fog lights on the FWD Vue yet?

I bought one... and sorely miss this option.....

Any success or failure trying to hook up the factory fog lights??

Didn't your VUE come with factory fog lights??? or are you adding
additional lights?

I don't understand what the deal is with fog lights. We drove through heavy fog crossing the bridges in NYC last weekend and the fog lights did not really help with visibility. I guess oncoming cars can see you better. I assume that they are placed low in order to cut down on glare, but IMO they are almost as annoying as people who drive with their brights on.
I can't stand people who use them "all the time".

Agree, I don't like that either. Don't know if they are ignorant enough in not knowing how to turn it off or simply they CAN'T see at night.....

Factory's fog lights usually won't do much in real foggy situation, it helps to let others see you better, but that's it. A real fog lamps suppose to be in Crystal Yellow, since the yellow cut through the dense moisture better than White.

Talking about this, has anyone here realized those people with HID-equipped vehicles ALWAYS leave their 'HID' on day or night.....You may think they treat it as DRL but I say they simply for Showing off: My car has HID, yours don't! :hmpf:

I too want to add Fog lights to a FWD VUE, which BTW does not come with factory installed fog lamps. I asked the sales person who in turn talked to the service/parts dept. They said that they couldn't add Fogs to the FWD version because Saturn had left out the appropriate wire harnesses that are included on the AWD VUE, which has fogs.

I hope that there is a relatively inexpensive solution to this, because I would like Fog lights. My wife has them on her Saab 9-3 and while I don't drive with them on all the time, I do notice a big improvement in low side-to-side visibility when they are on, especially on back country roads where there is little if any street lights. In the fog, I agree they are only a modest improvement. But I like the fact that others can see me better, I have heard too many horror stories regarding head-on collisions in the fog to not have the extra lights.
