Ham radio dash install??

Any hams on this forum?

I want to install my Icom 2100 dual band with remote head in the dash of my 2003 Vue. I am looking at the small storage tray just under the radio. This will mean pulling off the benzel around the center counsole.

Any trouble getting the center console benzels off?

Well, I've only taken the bezel off in a 2003 Ion and in a 2002 SL2. Both were held on with snap type clips, just pull off. The Ion was the easiest (but the SL2 was very easy too). If you turn the vents sideways on the Ion, you have a place to pull from.

I can't comment on the VUE, never done one. Perhaps someone else can comment.

By the way, what's your call? Look for me on 20m PSK31 (or 40 if 20 isn't open).
