Where is the drivers doors open switch... and why does it not work?

Hello Vue Folks!!

My drivers door does not react with the dome light and I can set the alarm with the drivers door open. Where is the switch that monitors the door open/closed position? It must be stuck in the door closed position.

The switch is on the side of the dash panel, it can be seen with the door open.
