The seller doesn't say whether it requires premium gas. My guess is that the unit does.

They provide a resistor that alters the air fuel sensor. 20 cents and radio shack you can do the same thing. You supposedly get a bit of a boost, but I cannot vouch for the Saturns.
We use to use this "tweak" when we modded Audi's and VW's. It fools the ECM and fuel mapping
