05 vue stereo/cd player

Can someone give me a quick how-to on removing the factory installed stereo/cd player? I was hoping I wouldn't have to remove the whole dash to get the center console cover off.

Actully it is very easy. Pull up on the trim around the gear shifter (grey part witht he window switches in it), it just pops off. At the bottom of the center grey plastic thing (sorry) surroundoing the radio with the Heat/fan controls there are 4 scews at the bottom. 2 to take the seat heat switches and two holding the center thing secure. Take those screws and carefully pull on the bottom of the center thing, it will pop off, it takes some pulling but carefully do it and it will come off. I unhooked the fog light switch and dimmer hazard light switch wires and tipped the center trim thing foward, the temp control cable may pop off, just make sure you snap it back in correctly with the handle in the correct position (I put mine all the way to the cold just so I knew where it was). there are 2, 9/32 (think that was the size) holding the radio in. Easy to do, besides the screws everything is snap clips. I installed a doule din nav system.
