I am sorry but this is going to be a really stupid question.....
But here it goes......
I recently purchased a used 2002 Saturn Vue AWD V6, and it did not come with a user manuel, I know I know I should have bought one right away and I plan on doing so....
but I need to know what type of motor oil I should use. Could someone please help a saturn girl out? Thanks! :)

I have a 2003 VUE and 2002 L300 both with 3.0 litre V6. Have only had the Saturn Dealer perform these oil changes as these vehicles are still under warranty. We live in So. California. Saturn puts in Pennzoil 5W30 petroleum base oil. I think any of the named brands will work. I change my own oil in our SC2 and in our daughters Toyota Corolla. I use Castrol 5W30 or 10W30 petroleum base, depending on what deal I can get when purchasing. 5W30 or 10W30 is recommended in the owners manual. 5W30 is better in colder temperatures as it won't turn to mollases as quickly when a car sits overnight in extreme cold temperatures. Extreme cold temperatures are not a major concern though where we live.
If you decide to use a synthetic oil, please check with your Saturn Dealer service department to what they recommend.

The oil cap probably states 5w30 as well

Personally, I would use a good synthetic 5w-30 such as Amsoil or Mobil 1. As for the owners manual, check Ebay as I see them come up all the time for about $10 to $15. Or you could check Helms online, it would probably be about $25 plus shipping.
