Just found this spy shots article (http://www.thecarconnection.com/Enthusiasts/Spy_Shots/Spy_Shots_08_Saturn_Vue.S178.A9430.html) on theCarConnection.com. Doesn't look like the Antara to me so I don't know where it is going but it is going to Opel.

In general its not bad looking from those pictures. My only complaints are the roofline and the rear. They are sloped too much. I like vehicles a little more squared off in the back. You tend to be able to fit larger items in the cargo area than if its too rounded and sloped.

We will just have to wait and see.

Going by what we can see of the exterior styling, the next VUE will beat the pants off the next generation RAV4 (http://www.automobilemag.com/auto_shows/frankfurt/0509_2007_toyota_rav4/)

Looks to me that the RAV4 will compete with their own Highlander...

Unless they justify it by saying the Highlander has a 3rd row seat (the most overrated/unusable/overpriced feature for mid sized SUVs ever)

According to the article, the G3 RAV4 is going to have 3rd row seating too  .

Key statement in that CarConnection article:

"Black tape from the front end and sides has been removed by computer"

In other words, "We're totally guessing at what the front end might look like. We paid a teenager for the 1/2 hour it took him to rework the front end of the car in Photoshop, and we think it looks decent enough to show you and make you think it's the real thing....but it's probably not even close."

... a 3rd row seat (the most overrated/unusable/overpriced feature for mid sized SUVs ever)

I'll have to disagree about that. My family does long trips weekends during the summer and many times with one set of (our son's) grandparents. Add in a wide car seat (probably the brand we got though) with grandparents that aren't skinny and it is crammed with 5 seats. Not to mention if we, 3, wanted to go somewhere with just another 3 (2 parents and 1 child) that makes 6 and too much for 5 passengers. We literally got our 3 row Envoy with 4 wheel drive for under $25K when the major discounts were going on. I wouldn't call that too overpriced. So as far as "overrated/unusable/overpriced" I'll disagree but uncomfortable, that maybe another story (but again, compared to cramming into 5 seats or impossibly (and illegally) fitting 6 people in a 5 seater... so comfort is all relative, 3rd row isn't as comfortable as the front seats but then again, second rows usually aren't either).

Not that I don't understand that others will not need 3 rows, it is just a feature I think is awesome. A couple times when my parents, my brother and his 2 kids, my wife and our son were going somewhere I wished I had an 8 passenger vehicle. ;)

Not a bad look, I can see those doing pretty well in the market. We'll have to wait and see what they really wind up looking like, but I have faith they won't be turd buckets like the Rav4. :D

similiar styling as sorento, which isn't bad, as far as the appearence goes, but personally, I'm not excitted about it being daewoo designed.
