View Full Version : Sloppy differential in FWD VTi

I replaced my front rotors the other day (warped at 50k miles), and I noticed while the wheels were off the ground, that there was a lot of slop in the differential. Rolling the wheel forward and back, there was a distinct mechanical "clacking" sound as the differerential engaged with the other wheel.
Is this normal?

Are other cars built like that, or is this another bad idea from GM?

most cars have some amount of slop in the diffs
