2005 4 Cylinder Oil Filter / Plug locations?

I have a 2005 4 Cyl FWD VUE. I cannot for the life of me discover the location of the oil filter or plug (though I have a guess on the plug). I have seen a couple of threads on here of people asking about socket wrench sizes -- does that mean the filter is under something that I have to remove first?

I've crawled all over the underside of the engine, and I can reach almost everyplace because it really doesn't occupy the whole compartment. Any help? Thanks.

The oil filter is up top it is a cartrige style not canister. Black housing slightly to the right of the intake manifold (cant remember the size). You may have to remove a black cover that is over the camcover and everything up top cant remember if its just IONs that have it or VUEs too (take oil cap of and pop it up). The plug is a 15mm dead center of the oilpan
