Note that the Antara concept car at Frankfurt is a two-door bodystyle along the lines of the Chevy/Daewoo T2X, which is related to the larger S3X.

That being said, the next VUE should still be of the four-door variety and will not arrive at Saturn dealers until the fourth-quarter of 2007 as an '08 model.

If Lutz is right and they can do this as a two door, it will be amazing.

The Outlook bows at Detroit, the story says expect the next VUE at NYIAS '06 (April 14-23, 2006), 18 months before launch.

Well, I doubt it will be identical (side exhausts?...I think not), but if it looks similar to that concept, then I'm sure it will be a hit with consumers and a +1 for Saturn on top of the positive points they're gonna get for the Sky and Aura.

While I love the way it looks, I can't help but think they might be better off making it a 4-dr, as well. Everything else in its class is, and thats what the market expects. Plus, the VUE has been Saturn's best selling vehicle for the past few years. Why stray too far from the original formula? Or do they think the Outlook and the previously mentioned "Sportwagon" off the shortened Lambda platform will do the trick?

When I first saw the name of the new Saturn "ANTARA"....the name struck a
note with me like I could of sworn I heard that name before. Then it hit me,
way back in the last century, GM was going to come out with the Oldsmobile
"ANTARES" (which I believe was a concept car that ended up being the influence for the INTRIGUE). At least there's no mistaking the Saturn for my "Father's Olds"!! :dizzy:
