If brake parts are same for sl1 and sl2 they you should be able to put disk brakes in rear. All you will need is new hand brake cables, and 2 new brake line hoses. I just bought rear conversion for 98sl2 it just bolts right on. Too bad I paid SPS prices for it cause a week after I bought it I heard that you can buy rear disk assemblies from saturnusedparts.com for like 399bucks. email saturnusedparts; I'm sure Joey can help you out.

I've done two rear drum to disc conversions. It works the same on all 1991-2001 S-series Saturns. Look on the SPS webpage under brakes and there is a photo that shows all the parts needed www.spswebpage.com and you can get them from SPS as kit. Basically you will need rotors, calipers, bolts, hoses, parking brake cables, zip ties, and pads. Reuse the hubs. Saturn parts has all the parts needed too. Get a copy of the factory service manual pages that show how to disassemble the rear drums and assemble the rear discs. You'll also need brake fluid so you can bleed them afterwards.
