Whatis the deal with 91 exhaust manifolds(maybe 92 I don't remember) supposedly they flow bette then other manifolds. How can this be the do they just lie on the horsepower and torque specs? do you have to have them honed? are they easier to hone?

the 1991 and 1992 twincam (SC and SL2) came with a stainless tubular 4-2-1 header from the factory. i had one on my 92 SC (came that way) and i have one on my 96 SC2 now.

Thanks for responding eric, i just have a few more questions.

Is the power gain noticable, did you get the one for your 96 at a junk yard or a dealer, or parts place? Will it bolt on to a 94, without changing piping or o2 sensor?

yes the flow is better through the 91 header,No it will not bold up u will havta do some welding and pipe cutting.the o2 is the same unless u have a late model with a rear o2 the power felt is very minimal unless u remove the cat converter or replace it with a high flow one and then there is a noticable difference.email joey at saturnusedparts.com i think he might have a few left. Its a hot selling item.

the gain is noticable (and the sound!), it came from joey at saturnusedparts.com for $150. the 91-94 o2 sensors are the same so that's ok. it bolts up using the stock parts, but the cat will need to be cut and welded to the back of the flex pipe. it's stainless so make sure you find a muffler shop that can weld stainless steel.
