During this board's Hic-Cup my original post disappeared. I did check with Charlie THROUGH E-Mail, to make sure that the topic was not an issue. Very easy to do and does not IMO cause in-board disputes. Thanks Charlie!!!! Being the topic is not a problem, I am restarting it here. BEFORE it disappeared, I had copies all the replies that I had seen. I will paste them here.

I need your input before this Sunday, THANKS!

Can't go into the details at this time, but I would like to see what questions you would have, IF you were sitting face-to-face with Saturn. PLEASE limit it to ONE question.

It can be on any aspect of Saturn: Sales, Pricing, Models, Performance, Options, Service, Advertising, Customer Assistance Center, Warranties, etc.

I will be able to give MY details in a week, but let's see what you think! If you want, you can E-Mail me.

Thanks!
Al

Can we have bigger cup holders? Just kidding...i'll give a real response later.

Why don't you offer a warranty equal to that of Kia, Hyundai, and Isuzu?

rogerk

Why don't you make a high quality reliable alternator that can be retrofited on older Saturns?

Being limited to only one question is tough, so I personally would go for something a bit more philosophical:
What can be done to get all of us pulling together?

By "all" I am referring to owners, retailers, suppliers, Saturn Team members, etc.

Yeah, it's vague, but it's what I really would like to know.

Why in my SC2 is there 6 cup holders and yet it was only designed to hold 4 people?
Seriously I would ask whY they didn't put the larger 2.2L engine into the coupe and make it their performance model?

Just one? Man, that's hard. Theyve screwed so much stuff up over the last few years I'd need at least a bakers dozen to get going.
If it was just one, it would have to be why are you ignoring the performance market? The coupe looks good, handles nice, but the engine can no longer keep up with the competition.

What are Saturn's long-term plans to be "different" from traditional automaking and selling?

Will Saturn continue to produce its mid-sized cars at an exclusively Saturn plant and will that plant be Wilmington?

Gee this is REALLY tough: my biggest pet peeve about the rear disc brakes has been only partially addressed and only on the L series, while lots of compact cars seem to be offering them again.

How about, "Is there any chance that Saturn will offer a youthful, sporty, wagon-like 5 door compact (like Matrix/Vibe/Protege5)?".

Thank you very much!

Can you produce a transmission that the diff. pin is welded in place and or making a LSD tranny?

Just one question, that is hard. There would be so many things, like why are the engine mounts total pieces of junk and keep failing on my car. So to encompass all of those reliability questions into one.

Saturn what are they doing to insure both short and long term reliability.

I want specific answers, not some corporate drivel about how they are "committed to quality through continued research and development and our unique relationship between management and the union."

Personally my car has been very reliable but I have noticed as of late that Saturn's reliability rating as fallen.

What are you doing to ensure the launch of the VUE isn't as ***ked up as the L-series launch two years ago?

I might ask, "How far will Saturn stray from its original mission?"

Already they're abandoning the unique labor agreement and are building a modified Opel in an old GM factory. The V-6 engine comes from England if I'm not mistaken. Now we're getting a Honda engine in a Saturn. What's next, rebadged Kias and Daewoos? A Saturn factory in Mexico where the workers get paid 50 cents an hour?

Thanks for all your responses! Al asked me to close this thread since the project he's working is almost due... He said he plans to use all of these questions.
