View Full Version : Three New Forums

I'm testing visitor reaction to a trio of new sub-forums that I've opened at SaturnFans. I'm trying to accomodate visitor requests, while not cluttering up the look and feel of the SaturnFans Forums. If the forums are used on a regular basis, they'll remain intact on the site. If not, they'll eventually be discontinued and their threads will be moved into another forum.

The three new forums include:

- New Member Introductions (http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/forumdisplay.php3?forumid=24)
- Events & Shows (http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/forumdisplay.php3?forumid=25)
- How-To Tips (http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/forumdisplay.php3?forumid=26)

Enjoy!

Great idea Charlie.. In which area will the subforums normally be displayed and accessed if this testing goes well?

When you're compiling usage statistics to determine whether to keep the new forums, please recognize that the How-To forum is different. People may not visit it often, and may never contribute. However, there is enormous value in having that information available and organized for the time when it is needed. Furthermore, the information does not diminish in value with age.

I love it. I hope I don't need it very often, but I sleep better knowing it's there. Long live the How-To section!

My goal was to add some specialization to the forums without causing clutter and confusion. Based on the feedback I've received so far, things are looking good!
