removal of 2000 sl1 front car doors, need help

im trying to replace the stock speakers, but i am having a problem removing the front two doors. i have taken out all the clips and screws, but the door seems to still be attached to where the manual window handle is attached, i can't figure out hwo to get around the window handle, so can anyone point me in the right direction?

there is a ring (about 3/4 of a circle) just behind the handle (between the door and the handle) that can be removed with a tool for about 5 or so $'s but you should be able to remove it with 2 screw drivers....btw how did you get all the clips off with out breaking them (or did they break)??

i looked between the handle and the door, but still cant cant see the 3/4 ring, can you be allitle more specific please? and no i didnt break the clips, they just pop in and out

ok.... push in on the door panel by the window crank and look at the spindle where it goes into the handle you will see a metal ring kind of a zinc or brass color,turn the handle until you see the end of the ring sticking up and then push on it with a small something (screw driver, ice pick) and it will pop about half way off now poke prod or pull it the rest of the way off and off comes the handle. i know this works i did it last night to replace a blown speaker and fair warning the door handle and lock can get a little annoying when you put them back on...
