How About a "Social" Forum?

Once again stealing another idea from MINI2! Since there has been a recent interest in starting local Saturn get-togethers, and since this a sentiment I think we should be encouraging in the Saturn community. Why not a social board? It would make the planning, orgagnizing, and advertising of a Saturn event on this forum much easier. I tried to start a thread on Gen. Disc. to encourage a WNY Saturn Get-together, but it met with limited response, so being there a lot of ION folks in the area, I posted it on there, but I also want to send the message to drivers of other Saturns. So wouldn't it be easier to publicize, etc. a get-together if we had a forum devoted to "Saturn events"?

I'm totally willing to run a dedicated website with details about meets if we can't get a board for it. I've already got one going for the Newport meet, it would be no problem to keep it going for other areas, too. Check out the site here: http://saturnfans.hopto.org. It's nothing fancy right now, but it's got maps and directions for the meeting points and who's coming and such.

I have to be careful not to add too many forums to the site, because it adds clutter to the site. However, I do like the idea of an events board of some sort. It would be a great compliment to the SaturnFans Calendar (http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/calendar.php3). Let me see what I can do.
