I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm back from vacation, and will do my best to catch up as quickly as possible on all of the couple hundred emails and few thousand messages posted here since I left. With any luck, you didn't even know that I was gone. :) The trip was somewhat planned at the last minute, but it was very nice to get away for a few days. I plan to post a stories and photos from our trip, because we had some interesting and exciting Saturn-related experiences. Stay tuned... I'll get everything online as soon as I can.

Hey, I'm a long time SL2 owner and new Ion3 owner who just found this site. I appreciate your site a great deal and find it to be filled with good information and some well informed and opinionated people.
I hope your trip went well and Thanks again for this site!

Thanks, Jaseball!
I just wanted to let everyone know that I finally got around to posting our GM Test Track photos from Epcot Center. I tried to take some time to photograph as much as possible, and was happy to see Saturn references well-placed throughout the complex. In the past I walked right by and missed lot of them... especially the S-Series spaceframe hanging from the ceiling in the pre-staging area.

Enjoy!

Charlie - What'd you think of that test track? My wife and I went in October of 2001, just after 9/11 and it was empty. Anyhow, that test track ride did not strike me as something worthy of Disney. There was little fun stuff and it just seemed a bit too much hype and not enough action.
What was your take? Did you actually go on the ride or just take those 412 pictures...

While there are a some parts of the ride that I think could be better, overall its one of my favorite amusement park rides... especially the crash test sequence and high speed test! I even enjoy standing in line in the staging area -- every time I see something new (i.e. the spaceframe hanging from the ceiling). I enjoy the assembly line area and car show at the end too.
I want to go back! :grnjump:

The last time I was there, they had an Olds Aurora on display in that showroom area, and I sat in the car and checked it out. That was one of my favorite GM cars, but alas, they went and killed Oldsmobile. :ugh:

It was interesting that you mentioned the Aurora... they just stopped production on Friday:
