I am trying to change my avatar.

I'm using Photoshop to change the size.
I am currently sitting at 20X15 pixels, and 32 kbs.

It is saying that the image is still too big?

Any ideas? I also changed it to a gif.

hey cory you have tohave the image 100x100 picxels or 10kb whatever is smaller. it says it on the avatar somewhere that website.

Using Photoshop, set the image size to the 100x100 and then optimize it for the web (if you have that filter). Or, if you save it as a .jpg, you can use that slide bar thing to reduce the file size that way.

You can actually make your own animated .gif files for use as an avtar as well.

For me, I knew my avatar was too big a file, but I had the hardest time telling myself it would look as good if I removed so frames from my gif-

Now that i've taken out some flashes, I don't really care for some of the flashes in the original anymore-

If I were given the opportunity to have a larger avatar, I'd post this one, with one exception-

I think I would get rid of the diagonally opposite flashes-

But that would be about it-

I was going to add some red and blue flashes from the windsheild area to be my dash light- but Alas- After cutting so many frames from my file I didn't have the heart to go any further-

Anyone know where I could get a really good free Gif animator?

The one I used was a 15 day trial version of Ulead's Gif Animator 5... It's really, really great, but i'm not sure it's worth $45 to create animated gifs when i'm only going to do it only once or twice every blue moon-

I finally figured it out a while back. I don't know how, but it worked!
