Hi all... I'll also post this in the tech forum in case nobody here has a clue...

I'm replacing the stock radio with the Saturn CD Changer and need to remove the large grey dash "panel" in front of the radio/vents/HVAC knobs. I looked below to see if there are any screws but there aren't (that I can see). I can only assume it is held on with those infamus dash "clips". Is that the case? Do I simply pull the baby off? Is it better to pull from the top of the dash vs. the bottom near the vent knobs? I'm really affraid of breaking this trim or putting it back and hearing it rattle/buzz/creak.

Thanks!!!!!!!

First, you need to remove the "halo" molding around the shifter. This is the mldg with the window switches and liter. Held on by retainers. Lift up from back end. next, remove the pocket storage area under the A/C control. THat's held on by 4 screws, either 7mm on the '02 or phillips on the '03's. Now you can pull off the molding around the radio.....CAREFULLY.
The AC control is attached to the mldg. To remove pull straight back. Note- the AC temp cable is attached to the rear of the control head. It is a gear to gear set up. It only goes on properly one way. On the cable portion line up the yellow mark on the gear to the yellow stationary mark. On the dial side you will see a slot in the gear and a corresponding stop that fits in the slot. Line up your marks and mesh the gears together. Easier than it sounds. Less complicated as well. Just trying not to leave anything out:p

You need to remove the bezel from around the shifter that has the window switches (or openings for). With this out of the way you should be able to see the screw/minibolts that hold the bottom end of the upper dash bezel and then from there it should just be clips. Use common sense if it doesn't want to move it likely has something else holding it.
