VUE Squeaky Brakes

2002 VUE. 14,400 miles.

When I first start the car in the morning, the brakes squeak a little bit for the first few minutes, then they are fine.

I live in St. Louis, MO, which is a very humid city, so I wonder if it's related to morning condensation (dew).

Has anyone else seen this on Saturn brakes? The only time I had squeaky brakes on the '97 SW2 Wagon was when the pads needed to be replaced when they started making the chirping sound constantly.

Mine started to do the same about a month ago, when the first snow hit. When I drove my VUE 2 days ago, after sitting for 2 days outside in a parking lot, my brakes seemed rough and ground a tad bit for the first couple of applications... I just think that the salt and water on them made them rust a bit quickly and it was the rust being polished off that I heard.
