I was just skimming through the posts at xtreme saturn, it's definitley for the more hardcore...and more hardcore performance oriented. Oh well...to each it's own.

yeah true, but i like the people on here better. people on xtreme seem to be more full of themselves that here. its like if we got someone on here that posts something obvious or that they should know and realize after someone replys, nothing becomes of it, it just goes away, but if something happenes like that over there, its made into a big production. SaturnFans all the way for me. ive had a great time and experience here so far and i dont see it changing any time soon

omigosh! I'm 17! somebody arrest me! lol but is darwin calling us young people ricers? I like ricers; they provide a shelf for my chinese take-out or whatever while I unlock my car. They also take cops from us real car people, and allow me to be grateful that my midas exhaust doesn't sound so awful. otherwise, I don't like ricers a bit, and wouldn't drive one unless I needed to stoop to that level.

I'm not 18. The trend for us young people is to rice the hell out of our cars, and I don't participate in that sort of activity. (mine is 100% bone stock, but it's better than riced!)

Under the assumption that Darwin isn't a rice car fan, and that he stereotypes us young people... yea, that's where I'm coming from.

I don't understand the last part about being innapropriate, but if I'm right about what he's talking about, I don't know of a saturn fan/porno site. :dizzy:

Vehicles ar becoming more and more items of self-expression. Saturn clearly recognizes this idea too. With the Ion's interchangable roof rails and interior trim kits.

This whole thing with young people "ricing" out vehicles...well, none of my friends do it, but it is becoming a trend none the less. I suppose I avoid it like the plague.

To me, stock is sleek, a few mods here, a few mods there...nice. I'd rather have reliability vs. race-ability.

After all, I do need to get to class/work everyday!

I don't intend on driving a racing car around town, or a car that looks like a racing car around with all the stickers and big wings and stuff... I like clean, stock appearing cars with nice ride and the basic radio/AC/pwr windows and locks/cruise 'necessities' but with more go to it... think sleeper but more practical.

I'm very interested in keeping a car stock-appearing and stock-sounding. All I need to be happy would be a working climate control system, a tach, a speedo, couple of gauges, a radio, and a CD player. Oh yeah, and a turbocharged, totally built DOHC engine under the hood with an LSD and a fully reworked suspension and ultra lightweight wheels and Pirelli P7s. But that's just me. Spending money to make your car look dorky seems weird. Just plain weird.

It's good that 1) I'm not the only person that doesn't like ricers and 2)like to look stock and haul a**, not look a** and haul stock.
I honestly now feel that my life is complete! I have my niche, a little "family" in this hobby.:)

If anyone out there wants a place with that kind of stuff, then go to some innapropriate site, and the rest of us that can control their speech (at least in writing, I'll bet we all swore once in our lives) can remain here in our friendly saturnfans website and watch you others go off to a verbal war (more or less) at some other forum.

Why would you want that? I love being able to come to a forum where I can read an informative, entertaining, or whatever kind of post without having to read expletives as every other word. So far it's been just fine without an "Over 18 Only" forum, I don't see the need for it either.

How old is this post? It's as old as Grandma, at least that's what I think. Geez, well, I don't think many of us (including me) wants a cussing porno-laden saturnfans. If you want that, subscribe to Playboy and "My Saturn" and stick the porno part of the playboy in appropriate pages within the "My Saturn" mini-mag, so it's now "My Saturn and Playboy Models". let's hope nobody's desperate enough to do this sort of thing.
