AWD Vue Center Support Bearing

Has anyone ever changed a center support bearing on a AWD Vue?
Also would anyone have a diagram on doing this?
I have done a little researching and found it's only a dealer item and comes as a kit. The dealer wants $280.00 but they are on back order for two months, but I found one on line for $185.00. getsaturnparts.com

Also it cost $85.00 to $120.00 to press the bearing on and to change the U-joint.

I've never done it ... but have files to remove shaft and deal with bearing ... too large to attach but will email if you PM an address.

I can't post a URL since I haven't met the 15 post minimum yet according to forum rules. If you do a google search for "justanswer replace center support bearing" it will be the second on the results page.

If you are comfortable with the work, have a u-joint tool and small press you can do the job yourself. At the minimum you can remove the shaft and bring it to a driveshaft specialist to remove the old bearing and and install the new assembly.

I'm waiting to hear back from getsaturnparts.com to make sure the part number quoted here matches my VIN as a replacement. I'm hoping it is and that the part is in stock as my local dealer and Chev dealer are both on 3-6mth back order.
