I have an 07 Vue AWD with the factory stereo that has a single CD player and an AUX input on the front panel. Ever since I got the vehicle the AUX input jack was a little flakey but now I use it more and the problem occurs more often. When I plug my MP3 player in and switch to the AUX, 98% of the sound is coming out of the right channel only. If I adjust the balance to the left channel through the stereo I can hear the sound but it as if the volume is turned way down.
I've tried muliple cables and different MP3 players but have found it something to do with the stereo itself. Sometimes I can fix it if I press the band button when on AUX, switching it to FM1, and turning off the radio before sound comes out of the speakers. Leave it off for 30 second. Turn it back on and hit the AUX button, switching from FM1 back to AUX, before sound comes out of the speakers. I then have sound equal balance and sound coming out of both the left and right channels.
Has anyone experienced this? Any suggestions? At this point I am thinking it is bad electronics in the stereo itself.
Thanks.
